Sports Injuries
Most sports injuries are caused by overuse or from not preparing for
exercise properly.
Osteopathy can help shorten the recovery period from injury and can help to
improve flexibility to reduce further risk on return to exercise.
Advice on warming up/cooling down may be offered.
General advice would be:
- Begin slowly
- Warm up first
- Stretch afterwards
In the event of injury...
- R = REST
- I = ICE
- C = COMPRESSION
- E = ELEVATION
